This type of therapy operates on the principle that by effecting change in your thoughts, you can influence emotions and behaviors, by changing behavior, you can influence emotions and thoughts, and so on as they are all interrelated.

First, we will examine what triggers negative thoughts, feelings, or behaviors, and what the consequences are. I will work together with you to reflect on how those experiences are related to core beliefs and conflicts in your life. We will use evidence-based exercises and take-home assignments to challenge automatic negative thoughts that affect your mood and behavior. In addition, we will practice emotional regulation skills and encourage you to practice reinforcing positive behaviors. Our goal is to reduce mood and anxiety symptoms caused by these disruptive patterns.
